In a world smothered by sensuality, the Benedictines of Mary attempt to observe the traditional monastic fast, taking one full meal a day for most of the year. Collations are available for those unable to fast according to the appointed time.

  • Easter to Pentecost—Midday meal and evening supper

  • Pentecost to September 14 on Wednesday and Friday—One meal after None (Midafternoon)

  • September 14 to Lent—One meal after None

  • Lent to Easter—One meal after Vespers (early evening)
